Light Through the Darkness (Official Music Video)

Light Through the Darkness is a song about the light that was shining before the first morning and is still shining now. For the official video, we wanted to capture what it feels like when a room full of people sings that truth together, including those who walked in carrying something heavy.

The video follows the arc of the song itself. It opens in near darkness with a single piano and a single light, then gradually widens as the band and the room join in. By the final chorus, the light that began as a pinpoint on the stage fills the whole space.

The song draws on John 1:5, which tells us that the light shines in darkness and the darkness has not overcome it. You can read the full lyrics and the thinking behind the song on its song page, and listen to the studio recording there as well.
